Author of publications related to sport science and exercise physiology. Has also published a book on Beach Handball.
Research interests: the effects of vibrations on human skeletal muscle and hormonal profile, the effects of vibrations as a countermeasure for microgravity effects in astronauts, EMG responses to strength training, neuromuscular fatigue and performance in strength training, supplements and performance.
Currently working in research projects related to vibrations and their application as a training and diagnostic tool for athletes, general populations and astronauts. Is an active "applied" sport scientist working as performance consultant for many professional volleyball, handball and soccer teams. Has worked extensively with Italian Handball national teams as conditioning coach and exercise physiologist, as well as Italian Boxing national teams. Former Handball player and coach. Interested in developing a recognized handball training methodology and a site for information exchange between sportscientists and coaches interested in Handball performance.
